Giving feedback is essential to successful collaboration on work and following our motto of ‘everyone gets a red pen’ we give you exactly that to add comments to a proof.
To add a comment
Step 1
Choose any of the red pens available: standard pen, drawing pen, highlighter pen, or general comment.
The standard pen can draw a pin, line, or box:
The highlighter pen lets you select text on the proof. This text will get copied to the comment where you can style it (bold, italics, strikethrough, underline etc).
The drawing pen lets you leave free-hand markups on the proof.
The general comment lets you create a comment without markup on the proof.
Step 2
Type your comment.
Step 3
Click the send icon (or use the shortcut key shift+enter or cmd+enter). Note: You can change the shortcut key for submitting a comment in your profile settings.
The work that you’re checking and reviewing is most important on the proofing screen so you’ll see that we hide the comment pane away once you’ve added a comment and that the red pins you’re placing on the page are subtle (have you discovered the reveal of the comment when you hover on the pin yet?).
Note: When you add a rectangle/box markup, you can select to highlight the comment (tint the box yellow), or say the area is approved (tint the box green). This can be useful when multiple reviewers are checking product catalogs and each reviewer is responsible for their own product range.
Tips:
Type the @ symbol to mention another reviewer. You can also type @all or @everyone.
Type : to quickly add an emoji.
If you have a screenshot image on your clipboard already, just ‘paste’ (using cmd+v) it into the comment and it will add as an attachment.
You can drag files into a comment and they will add as an attachment.
