Adobe add-on file exports explained

When creating new proofs and new versions using the Adobe add-on, we export files as the following:

Adobe InDesign

  • By default, the file exported is a PDF-X/3 file that contains all the links, fonts, and transparency has been resolved by InDesign. Under PDF preset you can select to export an interactive PDF.

  • You can choose to export as spreads, and also define a page range.

  • You can add crop marks and bleed to your exported file if you would like.

Adobe Photoshop

  • The file exported is the native file โ€“ .psd, or you can choose .jpg or .png.

Adobe Illustrator

  • You can decide under format whether the file exported is an .ai file (the default), or a .pdf. All visible artboards are shown as pages.

Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects

  • The sequence is exported to a H264 HD .mp4 file.

  • You can choose to set the in and out points in Premiere Pro.
