What is Smart Check?

PageProof Smart Check automatically analyzes each proof and displays useful information such as:

  • Dimensions

  • File name (including extension)

  • File size

  • Duration (for video and audio proofs)

  • Fonts

  • Color profile

  • Colors

  • Linked files (for PDF, Illustrator, and InDesign proofs)

  • Links (for email proofs). If a red dot is displayed, the automatic link checker has found an issue with one or more links contained in the email.

  • Subject line and sender email (for email proofs)

  • Bitrate, sample rate, channels, and encoder for audio files.

  • Content Credentials (if Smart Check: Content Credentials, part of PageProof Intelligence, is enabled by your team administrator).

Also found in the dimension pill are useful tools:

  • Units of measurement

  • Ruler

  • Gridlines

  • Scale

To reveal the dimensions pill, move your mouse cursor over the bottom left of the proofing screen, or in the side-by-side compare screen.
