When a proof is deleted in PageProof, it isn’t removed immediately. Instead, it is soft deleted and moved to the Recently deleted area of the team dashboard for 7 days. During this time, a team administrator can recover the proof if needed.
After 7 days, the proof is permanently deleted.
Recover a deleted proof
Step 1
As a team administrator, select team then dashboard.
Step 2
In the Recently deleted area, find the proof.
Step 3
Click the cog icon to manage the proof and select recover.
The proof will be restored and the proof owners notified via email.
Permanently delete a proof
If you want to remove a proof immediately instead of waiting 7 days:
Step 1
As a team administrator, select team then dashboard.
Step 2
In the Recently deleted area, find the proof.
Step 3
Click the cog icon to manage the proof and select delete permanently.
This action cannot be undone.
Soft delete setting
PageProof includes a soft delete proofs team setting (enabled by default).
When this setting is enabled:
Deleted proofs are kept in Recently deleted for 7 days before permanent removal.
Team admins can recover deleted proofs during this time.
If this setting is turned off, proofs are deleted immediately and cannot be recovered.
Step 1
As a team administrator, select team then dashboard, and select the proofs tab.
Step 2
Set the toggle for soft delete proofs.
