FinalFile® delivery lets PageProof automatically send final approved files to Canto, ensuring every asset lands in the right place without manual downloading or uploading.

Once a proof receives final approval, PageProof sends the approved file directly to your selected Canto album. Every FinalFile delivery is recorded in the proof’s audit trail for full visibility and governance.

Requirements for FinalFile delivery to Canto

To set up the Canto integration, you’ll need:

  • An Enterprise PageProof plan

  • Team admin permissions in PageProof

  • A Canto account

  • A Canto API key with Support Client Credentials Mode enabled

  • A Canto album where final approved files will be delivered.

How to connect Canto to PageProof

A team admin can connect Canto to PageProof from the team’s integration settings.

Step 1

In PageProof, open your team settings and select Integrations.

Step 2

Find Canto and enable the integration.

Step 3

Enter the following information:

  • Canto domain
    Your Canto domain, for example, yourcompany.canto.com.

  • App ID
    The App ID for the API key created in Canto under Configuration options → API. The API key must have Support Client Credentials Mode enabled.

  • App secret
    The App Secret for the same API key. This is stored securely and is shown as masked once saved. The API key must have Support Client Credentials Mode enabled.

  • Upload as user
    The email address of the Canto user the delivered assets should belong to. If you leave this field empty, Canto decides which user owns the assets.

  • Album
    The Canto album where approved proofs will be delivered.

  • Delivery tags
    The tag or tags that identify proofs for Canto delivery. Add the relevant tag, such as Canto.

PageProof will validate the connection and make Canto available for FinalFile delivery.

Delivering the final approved file

When a proof receives final approval, PageProof delivers the approved file to Canto if the proof contains the configured Canto delivery tag.

Delivery tags are not case sensitive.

Once delivered:

  • The final approved file is automatically sent to the selected Canto album.

    • The description field will detail the proof name, proof ID, and URL to the approved proof.

  • The file is assigned to the configured Canto user, if one has been specified.

  • The proof’s audit trail records when the delivery occurred.
