Creating a proof from Adobe Premiere

Send a video sequence for review with the PageProof plugin for Premiere, then work through feedback in context with timeline comments and marked-up frames.

Written by Roy Marshall

As a video editor, you can send a sequence for review and approval directly from Premiere. When comments come back, the PageProof plugin shows them on the timeline alongside the marked-up frame context, so you can see exactly where each change applies.

Creating a proof from Adobe Premiere

Step 1

Head here to download the PageProof plugin for Adobe Premiere.

Step 2

Follow the installation instructions and then go to Window -> UXP Plugins -> PageProof for Adobe Premiere to open the plugin. Log into PageProof. Your PageProof inbox will appear in the plugin.

Step 3

With your Premiere project open, click the create new proof icon.

Step 4

Add a name for the proof, select the preset, and choose the sequence range you want to proof. You can send the full sequence or set in and out points to send a specific range.

Step 5

Click Upload, and complete details in the proof setup screen — add a workflow, owners, checklist, and adjust the proof settings as needed — and send the proof.

Actioning comments and uploading a new version

When reviewers return feedback, open the proof in the PageProof plugin. Select a comment to find its position on the timeline and refer to its marked-up frame for visual context. Mark comments as done as you make the requested changes.

When you’re ready, use the plugin to upload a new version of the proof. For more detail, see bringing comments back into Premiere.
