Viewing comments in Canva

Create proofs directly from Canva, view and reply to comments – and more – with the PageProof app.

It is quick and easy to create proofs directly from Canva and send them out to a PageProof workflow using the PageProof app for Canva. Then, when a to-do list has been returned, view the comments in the panel allowing you to quickly address feedback.

The PageProof app for Canva lets you:

  • Create proofs and new versions from Canva

  • View comments in the panel within Canva

  • Reply to comments

  • Place comment text, in a click

  • Download comment attachments.

And more.

Firstly, add the PageProof app for Canva.

To view and action comments in Canva

Step 1

With your Canva design open, open the PageProof app.

If prompted, log into your PageProof account.

Step 2

Search for the proof in your inbox. Select the proof.

The comments will display in the comment area of the app pane. The comment list will default to to-dos.

Step 3

Select a comment. Further options are available under the 3 dots icon:

  • To view an image of the markup associated with the comment, click the 3 dots icon and select view context.

  • If the comment has an attachment, click the attachment icon to download the attachment file.

  • Click the 3 dots icon and select place text to add the comment text to your Canva design.

  • To view the comment on the proof in the browser, click the 3 dots icon and select open in new tab.

  • Click the reply button to reply to the comment. You can add an attachment to your reply, and make your reply private (if the private comments feature has been enabled).

Step 4

When the change has been made to the artwork, mark the comment as done.

The comment will now appear in the done list of the comments. Use the comment filter for status to move between all comments (all), comments marked for action (to-do), comments marked as done (done), and comments to be ignored (unmarked).

To upload a new version

Step 1

When all the changes have been made, select the proof’s info tab.

Step 2

Click upload new version to create a new version of the proof.

Tips

  • If the proof has multiple pages, click the collapse icon to condense pages.

  • Control the filtering and ordering of comments by clicking the filter comments icon.

  • Click the refresh icon to refresh the list of comments.
