Creative work moves through many tools, so finding the right proofing information can mean switching between them. PageProof MCP connects PageProof to compatible AI assistants, such as Claude and ChatGPT, and other MCP-compatible AI tools, so you can ask questions about your team’s proofing activity.
PageProof MCP is available on all plans. Users must be a member of a PageProof team.
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard that lets AI assistants connect to external tools and information. With PageProof MCP, you can ask questions in natural language to understand proofing activity, spot work that may need attention, and prepare useful updates for business leaders.
For example, you could ask which proof types your team uses most, how quickly proofs are approved, or what needs attention on your dashboard.
MCP gives the AI tool access to your team’s metadata. It does not give it access to proof file imagery or the text of people’s comments.
Before you start
You’ll need the PageProof MCP URL:

Use the full URL in the connector’s URL field. “PageProof” is the connector name.
The labels and setup steps vary between AI tools. Your account plan or organization’s settings may also affect whether you can add a connector.
Add PageProof MCP
In your AI tool, find the area for adding a custom connector or MCP server. Then:
Choose Add connector or the equivalent option.
Enter PageProof as the connector name. Paste the PageProof MCP URL into the URL field.
Example:
Select Continue.
On the next screen, select Add.
Select Connect.
Sign in to PageProof when prompted.
Review the access request and select Continue to authorize the connection.
If the tool asks how to handle tool permissions, we recommend selecting Always allow for PageProof tools.
Check the connection
Once PageProof MCP is connected, ask your AI assistant what PageProof tools are available, then use natural language to explore your team’s proofing activity and find the answers you need.
Platform-specific notes
Setup steps and availability vary between AI tools. Check your tool’s current MCP requirements and your organization’s settings if you don’t see the options described here.
Claude
Go to Settings > Connectors and add PageProof using the MCP URL above.
For Claude Team or Enterprise, an owner may need to add or enable the connector for the organization before team members can connect.
ChatGPT
Custom MCP apps are managed through ChatGPT’s Apps and developer mode settings. Availability and setup depend on your plan and workspace settings. Your workspace administrator may need to enable or publish the app before you can connect.
