Explaining the role of the mandatory reviewer

The proof will stop and wait for a mandatory reviewer to click their green finished button and leave their decision. Use the mandatory role for key stakeholders who must see the proof.

Features of the mandatory role

  • Can use the red pen tool to add comments to the proof

  • Can leave a decision on the proof

  • The proof will wait for the mandatory reviewer to press the green finished button and leave their decision.

  • A mandatory reviewer who has not left their decision yet can be nudged or skipped by the proof owner, or another reviewer with the inviter permission.

Best practice

  • Only assign the mandatory role to a reviewer who must review the proof

  • Apply a decision threshold to set how many decisions are needed in a workflow step before the proof automatically moves on. For example, 3 mandatory decisions are required.
