Due dates

A proof can have an overall due date, and also due dates for one or more of the workflow steps if you like.

There are two types of due dates for a proof:

  • The overall proof due date and time

  • A due date and time for a step of the proof’s workflow.

Setting a due date and time for the proof

Either in the proof’s setup screen, or in the info pane for a proof, click the calendar icon to set a due date and time. You can also type phrases into the date field such as:

  • Due in 4 days

  • Tomorrow

  • Next Thursday

  • In 2 weeks

for example.

You can also click the reminder icon to set automated reminders.

The overall proof due date will be displayed on the proof tile on the dashboard when the proof is in proofing.

Setting a due date and time for a workflow step

Adding a due date and time to a workflow step is helpful for advising reviewers to be aware of a deadline to work to ensure their review is completed in time.

Either in the proof’s setup screen, or in the info pane for a proof, click the calendar icon next to the right of a workflow step to set a due date and time.

Tip

Team administrators can set whether a new proof version will use the due date from the previous version. Learn more about team settings.

What date displays on the proof tile

When a proof is in proofing if the current step of a workflow has a step due date, this date will be displayed on the proof tile instead of the overall proof due date. The due date is used in the ordering of the proofs on the dashboard when order by ‘priority’ is set.

Note: If the overall proof due date is overdue, the proof tile will display ‘overdue’ regardless of the current step due date.
